WOODWARD DISASTER RELIEF PROJECT  Shortly before 12:30 a.m. on April 15, 2012, a tornado struck Woodward OK.  Six Oklahomans lost their lives and approximately 30 more were injured, 89 homes and 13 businesses were destroyed.  Damages are still being assessed. The needs of the Woodward community are large.   The community has received an abundance of donated items, but their immediate need is for monetary donations.  A focus of the Lutheran Women Mission League (LWML) is to meet the needs of people at home and abroad.  The Oklahoma District LWML is establishing a Disaster Relief Fund in cooperation with the Oklahoma LCMS Disaster Relief Committee to offer aid to the residents of Woodward and other areas who have sustained damage from recent disasters.  Please make checks to LWML, please make sure you note tornado relief in the memo.
